For the sailing catamarans from 3Ship.cruises is only one type of ship is used: an 80″ sailing catamaran of the latest generation, which, with the equipment for diving, kiting and SUP, becomes a sports center on the high seas. It also offers our cruise guests every convenience and every imaginable luxury.
The five comfortable guest cabins have king-size beds, each with two mattresses (80 x 200 cm), plenty of storage space and walk-in closets. There is of course a TV with access to the media server, adjustable air conditioning and USB charging sockets. The toilet with automatic flushing and Aqua Clean and the sink are separated from the shower.
On the almost 60 square meter fly bridge, for example, there is a large bar with clubbing space including a BBQ grill, icemaker and soda streamer. In the forward cockpit there is a stylishly furnished lounge area with sofas, bistro tables, sunshades and a small pool. A large captain’s table for the guests and the crew as well as the kitchen equipped with a gas stove, fridge and freezer dominate the bar area with wine cooler, ice maker etc. in the saloon, in which home cinema will also take place. A day toilet and the navigation area can also be found on this level. Of course, in addition to a laundry room with all the technology you are used to from a hotel, there is a fully equipped work shop on our ships.
Safety is a top priority on all our ships: each catamaran has three life rafts for eight people each, life jackets with GPS transmitters for 20 people. In addition to the ENOS and MOBOS systems, the equipment also includes an E-JET powered diving RIB for 16 people. All SOLAS obligations according to IMO’s GMDSS are overridden. The skippers have the highest German (SHS) and English (RYA-Ocean) maritime license. In the medical area, the super yachts come up with defibrillators and professional vital sign diagnostic devices, along with a complete professional on-board pharmacy. All crew members are tested and certified and can connect to the maritime 24/7 medical emergency service in Cuxhaven at any time thanks to a constant internet connection (Star-Link).
Safety at the water site is an overarching concern for us, so there is a one-person hyperbaric chamber per fleet for any diving accidents. The kitchen crew uses one electric cargo bike (300 kg loading capacity) per fleet to replenish local, seasonal and fresh food.
Green electricity and sustainable technology: Depending on the rigging, our ships have up to 400 m² of sail area. Electricity is generated by PV arrays (164 m²), eight diverend wind generators and mostly two hydro generators to feed two 720 kW battery banks. Two osmosis desalination plants are available on board for the water supply. Divers are happy about diving membrane compressors and several diving tanks as well as lead, snorkel, fins, diving goggles. Also present on every trip around the world: six electric water scooters; various SUP with paddles and life jackets, different kites and foils for all winds and abilities as well as the associated vests including bar, helmets and gloves. Each fleet also features dedicated one-star yoga SUPs and six bamboo-framed bikes.
